The Classic Slim Watch by Brathwait Watches

Craig of That Dapper Chap reviews the Classic Slim wrist watch from Brathwait Watches

PRODUCT

Today's review is all about the classic slim watch by Brathwait Watches. As with any sponsored post that I write I will be entirely honest and offer an unbiased opinion.

The inspiration for the  brand came from a gentleman and poet from London called Richard Brathwait. In 1631 he published “The Complete Guide to the English Gentleman” and some say that his thoughts and observations changed the world.

The guys at Brathwait watches say "our wristwatches have been created as a symbol of the modern man who practices the heritage of the Gentleman.By pulling back the curtains on modern watchmaking we're aiming to do away with industry short-cuts and cheap solutions; never compromising the product quality, always cutting the costs" Sounds good to me!

Available in a number of colour options the classic slim watch has a 1.9mm thick dome sapphire glass with an anti reflective coating. With a 40mm stainless steel case and a Swiss quartz precision movement, it's also water resistant up to 100 meters.

PRICE

Priced competitively at £204 ($249) it's a very nice looking watch for the price. It's also available on monthly payments for those on a budget, which is something not always offered by other brands.

The Moon Phase watch by MAEN Watches

Craig of That Dapper Chap reviews the Moon Phase watch from MAEN Watches

PRODUCT

Todays review is all about the MAEN Watches moon phase watch. As with any sponsored post you're going to get a full review and my honest and unbiased opinion.

The brands name 'MAEN' is an old dutch word that literally means 'Moon' and each of their watches features a nifty and quirky little dial, that when set, tracks the phases of the moon.

I opted for the midnight blue watch with black leather strap, but MAEN offer a number of colourways.

Product review of the brushed rose gold watch by Our Theory Of Watches

Today's product review is on the brushed rose gold watch by Our Theory of Watches. The guys at Our Theory of Watches appreciate simplicity and style and their first collection of watches is one that they would wear themselves. "When combining all the elements, we took inspiration from our theory of time and space - and incorporated the use of black in various ways - in matt and gloss, complimented by silver and rose-gold. Our straps are metallic mesh and genuine leather"

With four different styles available there isn't a huge selection to choose from but what is available offers a combination of the elements used across the range.

Product Review - The Comanche Watch By Chronodos

Craig of That Dapper Chap reviews the 'Comanche' artisan watch from Chronodos

Product

Today's product review is all about this beauty, the 'Conamche' artisan wristwatch by Chronodos.

Chronodos specialise in more unusual looking watches. "we want to offer men around the world unique alternatives to most generic and boring watches that you'll find elsewhere" say the guys at Chronodos and they seek inspiration for their designs from various sources including architecture, movies, people from history and nature.

Enjoying a coffee wearing mr Chronodos watch

The leather that they use on the watch cuffs generally from Italy and is specifically tailored to your wrist. When you purchase your watch you have to specify the exact measurement of your wrist, making it specific to you and you alone. It's very easy to do and takes just a few seconds.

Product Review - The Daniel Wellington Watch

Craig of That Dapper Chap reviews the Classic Warwick watch by Daniel Wellington.

PRODUCT

Daniel Wellington were kind enough to gift me the Classic Warwick watch, this will be the focus of this review.

Established in Uppsala in Sweden, just an hour’s drive from Stockholm, there is a story about how the watch came to be and their website states: “Filip Tysander, the founder of Daniel Wellington, met an intriguing gentleman from the British Isles. The man had the inspiring ability to be gentlemanly but still relaxed and unpretentious. He had an impeccable style, and loved to wear his watches on old weathered Nato straps. His name? Well, Daniel Wellington, of course. A strong friendship emerged between the two, and our founder was inspired not only by the man’s many great life stories but also by his class and timeless style of fashion”.

I’m not sure how true this is as is reminiscent of The Great Gatsby story. A part of me likes to think it is, but only the people at Daniel Wellington know the truth about that one.
