Carven Pour Homme Eau De Toilette

That Dapper Chap gets a whiff of the Carven Pour Homme Eau De Toilette and shares his thoughts.

September 2015 saw French fashion giant Carven bring in perfumers Francis Kurkdjian and Patricia Choux to reintroduce the Carven Pour Homme fragrance. With it's immediate hit of violet you'd be mistaken for thinking that this could be a less than masculine fragrance but don't be fooled.

Underneath the heady and uncensored scent of violet you will find a complimentary fresh burst of grapefruit to bring a hint of sharpness to the proceedings, before you're then plunged into it's woody depths and the masculine and warming aspects of nutmeg, cedar, sage and sandalwood.

It's a sophisticated fragrance, more gentlemen's drinking club than sunday football dressing room. I see it more suited to a man of class, maybe slightly older, but certainly a man of confidence.

Available at Debenhams Aftershave in 30ml (£35), 50ml (£50) and 100ml (£70) Eau de Toilette there is also a range of products available for gents who want an all over smell such as aftershave balm (£29), deodorant (£21) and shower gel (20), but these are not too widely available in the UK.
