A monthly fragrance subscription with Scentbird

Craig of That Dapper Chap tests out the monthly subscription service from Scentbird

I'm new to monthly fragrance subscriptions, so when the guys from Scentbird got in touch I thought I'd check it out.

With a huge range of fragrances on offer, Scentbird offer a monthly subscription for just $14.95 (£12). For that you get a full 8ml bottle of whichever fragrance you choose from over 450 that they have on offer.

With fragrances from Clinque, DKNY, Issey Miyake, Hugo Boss, Lacoste and many many more, there's a fragrance to suit everyone. There's no need to buy a full bottle, just switch up your fragrance month to month to keep you smelling fresh and use it as an opportunity to really test out that fragrance that you've wanted to try instead of just having a quick spritz at the fragrance counter. It will also make a great Christmas gift for someone!

Getting started is easy, you can sign up using Facebook or click through and use an email address. Click on 'Subscribe' add your address and bank details and you're ready to choose your first fragrance.

Scentbird also offer a cologne of the month and this arrived along with my own choice of Tom Ford Vetiver. They arrived in a velvet bag. Inside you'll find your bottle in an easy to use twist top case.

Both of the fragrances are really nice: the Tom Ford Vetiver is very woody and earthy with an unmissable hint of citrus while the Thirdman Eau Inexplicable is aromatic and spicy.

So, if you like the idea of a monthly fragrance subscription or you're looking for a gift for someone you will, give Scentbird a look.

FINE SCENTBIRD

The Classic Slim Watch by Brathwait Watches

Craig of That Dapper Chap reviews the Classic Slim wrist watch from Brathwait Watches

PRODUCT

Today's review is all about the classic slim watch by Brathwait Watches. As with any sponsored post that I write I will be entirely honest and offer an unbiased opinion.

The inspiration for the  brand came from a gentleman and poet from London called Richard Brathwait. In 1631 he published “The Complete Guide to the English Gentleman” and some say that his thoughts and observations changed the world.

The guys at Brathwait watches say "our wristwatches have been created as a symbol of the modern man who practices the heritage of the Gentleman.By pulling back the curtains on modern watchmaking we're aiming to do away with industry short-cuts and cheap solutions; never compromising the product quality, always cutting the costs" Sounds good to me!

Available in a number of colour options the classic slim watch has a 1.9mm thick dome sapphire glass with an anti reflective coating. With a 40mm stainless steel case and a Swiss quartz precision movement, it's also water resistant up to 100 meters.

PRICE

Priced competitively at £204 ($249) it's a very nice looking watch for the price. It's also available on monthly payments for those on a budget, which is something not always offered by other brands.

Styling this seasons knitwear from House of Fraser

Craig of That Dapper Chap styles knitwear from House of Fraser, creating three looks with one sweater.

We all know House of Fraser for it's wide selection of items for home and fashion and the huge number of designer brands that they offer under one roof. In this post I'm taking one sweater and showing you three different looks that can be achieved.

While this is a sponsored post I'll be open and honest as always. This season House of Fraser are offering a huge selection of knitwear and there truly is something to suit most tastes. With chunky cable knits, zip necks, cardigans and polo necks in merino, cashmere and cotton I opted for a light grey marl V neck merino sweater by Linea. Available in 24 colours in sizes small through to XXL it's a hugely versatile jumper. That's where I come in!

The Jeff Banks Savile Row Bespoke Suit - The First Fitting

Craig of That Dapper Chap returns to Savile Row for the first fitting of his bespoke suit from Jeff Banks

My very first look at my new bespoke suit from Jeff Banks Savile Row

Just a few short weeks since my last visit to Jeff Banks Savile Row and my bespoke suit is back from north Africa and ready for me to try. If you missed the first part of this series, take a look at the first post where I document the measuring experience and also share some handy hints and tips on what you can expect when you visit.

Arriving at the store I was greeted by Alan and Steve and a glass of Prosecco, all of whom made my second visit a truly enjoyable experience.

I was super excited to see my suit for the first time. While I chose the fabric, the lining and the buttons as well as every other aspect of the suit, I didn't truly know what it would turn out like. I had a good picture of it in my head and I wasn't disappointed.

The Moon Phase watch by MAEN Watches

Craig of That Dapper Chap reviews the Moon Phase watch from MAEN Watches

PRODUCT

Todays review is all about the MAEN Watches moon phase watch. As with any sponsored post you're going to get a full review and my honest and unbiased opinion.

The brands name 'MAEN' is an old dutch word that literally means 'Moon' and each of their watches features a nifty and quirky little dial, that when set, tracks the phases of the moon.

I opted for the midnight blue watch with black leather strap, but MAEN offer a number of colourways.
