What I Wore Today - Italian Grace

Craig of That Dapper Chap styles a white cotton shirt and navy & red braces from Italian Grace

Today's 'What I Wore Today' post is all about this premium Italian cotton shirt by I SARTI, available from Italian Grace. In a slim fit style the shirt is 100% cotton and is available in a variety os subtle colours and stripes.

As it's summer I chose a bright blue lightweight suit from Burton Menswear. This suit is last season but there are many similar slim fit suits available in their current range.

Today's shoes are from Base London and are the blue suede business shoe worn with red and blue polkadot socks. To keep the red accents going I opted for a red and blue silk pocket square by Paul Hewitt and a red jasper bracelet by Parvenu London.

A city break in Marrakech

Craig of That Dapper Chap takes us on a city break to Marrakech wearing Burton Menswear

Bored of the standard two weeks in the sun, we decided last year to take more city breaks, indulge ourselves in cultural differences, and sample traditional living in some very different places. With Budapest and Prague under our belts we went further afield and landed in Marrakesh in 100 degree heat.

The AW16 Collection From Burton Menswear

Craig of That Dapper Chap gives us a sneak peek of the new collection coming our way from Burton Menswear

A contemporary interpretation of classic menswear styles helps Burton create an AW16 wardrobe of truly iconic pieces, making it the ultimate collection for today’s stylish and unpretentious man.

A focus on the brand’s heritage of providing impeccable suiting and smart casual options is the main theme of the range. Illustrating this perfectly is New British Classics, a story inspired by traditional fabrics, modernised with a smoother feel and a slick finish. Suits in grey twisted yarns are teamed with dobby patterned shirts and a wool Chesterfield coat, while bringing us bang up to date is the camel two-piece, which is worn with a burgundy crew-neck and brown Chelsea boot - a fresh take on a well-tested trend.

A very #SmartOccasion with Burton Menswear

Craig of That Dapper Chap attends the 2016 Cheltenham races as a guest of high street giant Burton Menswear and celebrity Calum Best

Looking the part in my three piece suit

A VERY SMART OCCASION

Burton Menswear have been around for a good while and know a thing or two about suiting. Being a go to store for men of all shapes and sizes, they have a suit for everyone.

With the wedding season just around the corner Burton are currently offering you a huge 20% discount on suits, and they have a great range of two and three piece suits in stock.

I've never been to the races before, so I was super excited when I received an invitation from Burton Menswear to attend the Cheltenham Festival as part of their #SmartOccasion campaign.

Together with top bloggers: Ben from TwentyFirstCenturyGent, Joey from JoeyLondon, John from TheEveryDayMan, Peter from HumanResearchXYZ and of course the guys from Burton we made our way to the races suited and booted in Burton suits, shirts, ties and footwear.

Three Party Looks From Burton Menswear

Craig turns to Burton Menswear for three looks to take you from super smart party to pub party

Burton Menswear have a great selection of stuff for us blokes this season. I usually get invited to a couple of parties, and at least one of them is usually formal. Others may be more relaxed and while you may not want a full tux you still want to look good, even if it's a party at a local pub.

I've therefore chosen three looks for you from the range at Burton to cover all bases and each one is under £200.

The Uber Smart Party

For that black tie dinner you need to look the part. Keep it modern by going for a slim fit suit and some slipper loafers. Details are important and you can add a twist by choosing a purple bow tie and pocket square rather than the traditional black.

Get this entire look for £160.00

The Smart Casual Party

So, taking the formal down a notch, we have a look that you can wear at the office party or a more informal dinner. Still very smart, it's a more relaxed approach.

Get this entire look for £182.00

The Casual Party

This look is a more relaxed and is definitely a more informal look. Still retaining smart elements, like the fleck print long sleeved shirt to show that you've made an effort (please don't go to ANY party in a T Shirt). If it's a party at a friends house or a buffet at the local pub, this is a good option for you.

What I Wore Today #28

That Dapper Chap shows off his new two tone brogues by London Brogues in his latest outfit post

One of my most commented on pairs of shoes are a pair of tan leather and blue suede brogues by London Brogues. I thought they were the only ones but London Brogues offer five different varieties of two tone brogues along with three plain pairs in tan, black and dark brown.  Wanting another pair I chose the tan and black leather option which I think go really well with this outfit.

As the tan leather has a richness to its colour I chose orange accents to compliment the tan of the shoes and the chinos. keeping the look fairly formal I wore a blue unlined summer cotton blazer.

The orange paisley tie is a fun and funky addition, bringing some individuality to the look. The bracelets are hand made and continue the colour story as do the socks with their orange and blue stripes.

Where it's all from

Two Tone Brogues: London Brogues
Striped Socks: H&M
Tan Chinos: Next
Slim Fit Plain White Shirt: Primark
Orange Paisley Tie: Zara
Tan Belt: Primark
Blue cotton Blazer: Jasper Conran
Bracelets: Home Made
Briefcase: Rocha; John Rocha at Debenhams
Watch: Paul Hewitt
Trouser Chain: Home Made
Sunglasses: Oscar Wylee
Tie Clip: Vintage from Ebay
Pocket Square: Korbata
