What I Wore Today #44 - The Profuomo Vegetable Print Shirt

Craig of That Dapper Chap shows us what he wore today which includes a statement vegetable print shirt by Profuomo

Today's look is all about the shirt

If you're looking for a statement shirt, maybe for date night of that Valentines day meal take a look at Profuomo. They currently have a great range in stock including some very unusual prints including birds, botanics and bugs to name just a couple of my favorites.

The flat lay ready to wear

I eventually settled on the Vegetable print shirt, a quirky print featuring every piece of veg you can imagine. Every time I look at it I spot something new. In fact people in the office today saw it as some kind of challenge to spot as many different items as possible! "an aubergine!" exclaimed Jan. "Found a pumpkin" Dan replied "at least I think it's a pumpkin" Debate ensued.

Stone chinos make for a 'spring' look
The orange carrots on the shirt sang to me so I decided to pick orange as an accent colour and pulled out my blue and orange striped knitted tie. I added an orange lapel pin to my blue corduroy blazer and chose blue and orange striped socks to continue the theme.

I accessorised with my latest watch, very classic and simple in style so as not to distract from the shirt. It has a classic silver metal strap and blue hands which complimented the colour scheme. I'll do a full product review of this watch soon, so watch this space.

Today's watch, look out for a product review soon

My blue bobble hat also made an appearance, while the weather was mild for January I just wanted to wear it. I wear it a lot in the house with my PJ's when it's cold.

The tan and navy belt continues that orange and blue theme and also compliments the two tone leather brogues. Always match your belt and shoes gents!

The trouser chain and bracelets pick out colours from the shirt and the navy leather back pack coordinates well and completes the look.

What I Wore Today #28

That Dapper Chap shows off his new two tone brogues by London Brogues in his latest outfit post

One of my most commented on pairs of shoes are a pair of tan leather and blue suede brogues by London Brogues. I thought they were the only ones but London Brogues offer five different varieties of two tone brogues along with three plain pairs in tan, black and dark brown.  Wanting another pair I chose the tan and black leather option which I think go really well with this outfit.

As the tan leather has a richness to its colour I chose orange accents to compliment the tan of the shoes and the chinos. keeping the look fairly formal I wore a blue unlined summer cotton blazer.

The orange paisley tie is a fun and funky addition, bringing some individuality to the look. The bracelets are hand made and continue the colour story as do the socks with their orange and blue stripes.

What I Wore Today - A Sunny Wednesday

That Dapper Chap takes us through his look for Wednesday.

Enjoying the spring sunshine

The outfit laid out and ready to wear

Wednesday started like any other average Wednesday but I was pleased to see that the sun was shining. I wast pleased however with how my hair decided to collapse in the light spring breeze the second that I left the house!

The stroll to work, bags packed with goodies

I was styling a photo shoot on Wednesday afternoon so I had a couple of bags with me, filled with various shirts, blazers, ties and accessories. It's a project that I've been working on with a local hair stylish and a local award winning photographer so I was excited that we were finally getting around to the shoot, after a few delays. You can expect the first blog story on that very soon.

So, to the outfit. As you know chinos are a staple items for me and I haven't worn theses camel coloured ones for a while. I like blue and brown as a colour combination so chose a denim shirt and blazer. I've hopefully avoided that 'double denim' look here!

To give the look a bit of a vintage twist I opted for some button on braces and some two tone brogues. The vintage paisley scarf also goes to maintain this look and also keeps in with the colour theme.

Floppy hair, not the look I was going for

Time to get to the office!

As for accessories, I went for a striped knitted tie and added some home made lapel pins to the denim blazer, throw in a pocket square and you've added enough personality to ensure the look come across as considered.

The full look, complete with scarf to keep out the chill
