#FoundIt at debenhams

Craig of That Dapper Chap joins the #FoundIt campaign with Debenhams and shares his picks from from their current range for members of his nearest and dearest.

Now that Halloween and bonfire night are behind us, the Christmas lights have been turned on in city centres all over the UK, and shop window displays offer us a beautiful array of festive fantasies, and all the twinkly lights you could every wish for.  It's time to start think about Christmas.

For me Christmas is all about family, well, family and food! And a big part of that is gift giving.

For us, we have three present giving opportunities, the first is on Christmas Eve when we give one another a new set of pyjamas and something to enjoy in front of the TV while we wait for Santa to do his thing. That may be a hot chocolate set, a box of Christmas chocolates or miniature liqueurs. Then of course we have the big event on Christmas morning but we save a stocking to open on boxing day after the lunchtime washing up has been done.

With so many gifts to buy it's good that brands like Debenhams are doing some of the hard work for us. Each year they have their #FoundIt campaign and offer us a wealth of great gifts from all of our favourite designers and brands.

Autumn Trends with Hammond & Co

Craig of That Dapper Chap shares three looks available from the Hammond & Co range at Debenhams

If you're not familiar with Patrick Grant and the Hammond & Co range of menswear at Debenhams, you must have been living under a rock.

Mr Grant always offers a wide range of clothing for us gents, classic in style, but with a modern twist. Each season the range is stylish and elegant and has a selection of 'must have' pieces, this season is no different.

In this post I'll show you three distinct looks using items from the latest range.

Look 1 - Sartorial

For the first look I've gone all out dapper. This single breasted wool rich jacket with its bold check is teamed with a crisp white shirt and mustard bow tie for total sartorial elegance.

The slim fit jeans and Chelsea boots add that modern touch without detracting from the gentlemanly look of the outfit.

What I Wore Today #28

That Dapper Chap shows off his new two tone brogues by London Brogues in his latest outfit post

One of my most commented on pairs of shoes are a pair of tan leather and blue suede brogues by London Brogues. I thought they were the only ones but London Brogues offer five different varieties of two tone brogues along with three plain pairs in tan, black and dark brown.  Wanting another pair I chose the tan and black leather option which I think go really well with this outfit.

As the tan leather has a richness to its colour I chose orange accents to compliment the tan of the shoes and the chinos. keeping the look fairly formal I wore a blue unlined summer cotton blazer.

The orange paisley tie is a fun and funky addition, bringing some individuality to the look. The bracelets are hand made and continue the colour story as do the socks with their orange and blue stripes.

Where it's all from

Nautical Prep

Craig of That Dapper Chap shows us today's preppy look accessorised with items by Paul Hewitt

I've been really keen on the preppy look for a while and have occasionally erred towards that genre of styling in my daily look.

After receiving a great little parcel from Paul Hewitt, who sell some really great preppy accessories, I thought I'd use them to build a look to challenge the preppiest prepster.

Getting my preppy style on

The preppy preperation

I chose items in the same colourway and all with a nautical theme. The bright red bow tie is printed with lobsters, the red, white and blue bracelet fastens with and anchor and the nato strap on the vintage style watch is also adorned with anchors. The red and blue belt and pocket square help to bring the colour theme together.

If you like the Paul Hewitt accessories, check back on the blog again soon as I'll be carrying out a product review on their vintage style watch.

Blue and green should never be...WHAT?!?!

After a few glasses of wine last night while watching a creepy movie and listening to a storm thrash and crash it's way across my town, I thought I'd awake today bleary eyed and groggy, but I woke bright eyed and bushy tailed. Weird! Creepy movies, storms and wine are clearly a recipe for a good nights sleep. Note to self: must get more of all of the aforementioned items!

Today's look started with this blue and green club style tie which was sent to me by Southern Gents. There were a few awesome goodies in the box that plopped itself on my doorstep late last week and I'll be showing you all of them in my daily outfits as well as conducting a full product review for them on the blog soon, so watch this space!

Keep this to yourselves but the guys at Southern Gents have also put up some great prizes for the next #ThatDapperChap Instagram contest, but that's just between you and me right. Shhhhhhh🙊

So armed with the tie (which just happens to be in my favorite colour way) I dragged out this green and blue gingham shirt and green cordoury waistcoat. The weather has broken thanks to the storm so it was a little cooler today, allowing me to layer a little.

To keep the look light I chose this unlined summer cotton blazer and a pair of chinos. With a blue flower lapel pin and a camoflage pocket round, also from Southern Gents. I grabbed my sandwiches, stuffed them in my bag with an apple and my notebook and off I went.

It was a good Monday, as Mondays go, and I managed to get a lot off my To Do list, so all in all a good day. I hope yours was too.
